Morocco is accusing Iran of singling it out over it’s solidarity with Bahrain over Iran’s controversial comments last month.

Iranian officials questioned  Bahrain’s sovereignty by saying it was an Iranian province until 1971.

Morocco  protested the comments by recalling its envoy to Iran for a week.

Iran’s interior minister visited Bahrain to assure the country that it does respect Bahrain’s sovereignty.

Arab nations are concerned about Iran. Saudi Arabia is seeking unity among the region in the face of what it calls the “Iranian challenge.”
