Fifth Typhoon to Hit Philippines

At least fifteen people have been killed by a typhoon which has hit the northern Philippines. Typhoon Chan Hom has triggered mudslidesĀ  and is destroying travel routes.

The governor of a rice producing regionĀ  says Ifugao province was damaged by the storm.

It has not been confirmed if Vietnam’s coffee belt was damaged by the Typhoon.

Earlier reports mention thousands of fishermen who were at sea. No update on their situation has been confirmed.
