500 miles above Siberia two large communication satellites have collided in the first ever crash between two intact spacecrafts while in orbit. NASA says the debris cloud that formed from the impact poses a possible extremely low risk to the international space station and it’s three astronauts.

It also says true magnitude of the crash will take weeks to deteremine.
