In Saudi Arabia, the Interior Minister survived an assassination attempt in his home by a suicide bomber according to news sources.

Prince Muhammed bin Nayef  is a top security official and has been  involved in the kingdom’s aggressive anti-terrorism campaign.

The suicide bomber was a wanted militant and had been insisting on meeting with the Prince to announce he was giving himself up to authorities, according to the Saudi Press Agency.  Prince bin Nayef was meeting well-wishers for the Islamic holiday of Ramadan which is based on the idea of giving praise to God and Thanks, and receiving His Mercy, the Saudi News Agency said reported.

Allegedly, the terrorist was approaching to greet the Prince and slightly tripped once as he was walking towards him.

And as the terrorist continued to prepare to shake the Prince’s hand an outside call to the bombers mobile phone detinated the self strapped explosives.

The Saudi Press Agency reports the bomber as remarkably the only casualty. And the Prince escaped with minor injuries.
